Envision, Exert and Excel: St. Joseph College (A) Jakhama Observes Erudite Festival

The two day Erudite ((Post Graduate) Fest of St. Joseph College (A) Jakhama under the theme “Envision, Exert and Excel” commenced on February 23 at St. Joseph College Indoor Stadium. Gracing the event as chief guest, Deputy Director for Photography and storytelling at Asia Pacific Associated Press, Yirmiyan Arthur Yhome, reflected on her 20 years in the profession, emphasizing that she never expected to reach this point when she first started. She encouraged students to have the zeal to excel in their pursuits and to maintain a strong connection to their culture while embracing diverse experiences.

Yhome also emphasized the importance of self-belief and forming positive connections with others to drive meaningful change and personal growth. Pro-vice chancellor, Assam University, Diphu Campus Sivasish Biswas in his key note address highlighted about his experience when he was a professor at St. Joseph and experience with the Naga students at Assam University. Principal, St. Joseph College, Jakhama Fr. Dr. Keduolhou Angami in his welcome address mentioned that the fest was organised mainly for post graduate students to build up interest in their academic career.

Conveying message on behalf of the organising committee convener, Jipsing Taro, said the first edition was held in 2022 to give a platform for the PG students to inculcate healthy competition in academics and develop their skills needed to be an active and efficient educated person in society. The first day culminated amidst various activities.
