Area of Excellence

The college follows 4 Year/8 Semester UG Honours/Honours with research scheme as per the National Education Policy 2020 of the Government of India. There are 13 UG programmes and 5 PG programmes. Various Diploma/ Certificate/Add-on courses are offered. The upgrading of PG departments to PhD Research is in progress. In Nagaland, St Joseph’s college is a trend setter and path finder in the sphere of higher education and remains as a towering institution among higher educational institutions. The college functions regularly without loss of class days. Vibrant Curricular ambience. Many clubs are actively functioning, including domain clubs, and they undertake various outreach/community/extended curricular activities. An annual cultural festival titled ‘Spring Fest’ is organized by students where diverse tribes of the Nagas display their rich cultural heritage through folk song, dance and traditional games. A Centre for Traditions and Indian Knowledge Systems (CTIKS) is established.
