St Joseph’s College celebrates 4th Historia Fest

The Department of History, St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama, celebrated its 4th Historia Fest under the theme “Concelebro Historia” on February 10 at the College Indoor Stadium with competitions and other activities. 
Speaking on the occasion as the special guest, Kedoseno Rino, EAC (Probationer) and an alumna of the college (Department of History 2019 batch), said that dedication and hard work in academics are important, but co-curricular activities are equally important for the overall development of the student. 

Meanwhile, MA. 4th Semester won the first place for The Fall of the Throne, and B.A. 2nd Semester (E) won the second place for Jina and Etiben in the ‘Natak’ competition. 

Daisy of B.A. 4th Semester (E), playing Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham, topped the cosplay competition based on Bollywood characters, while the second place was secured by Nusatulu of MA 2nd Semester for playing Kajol from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. 
Kumsuto Achumi and Stella of MA 2nd Semester were crowned Mr. and Ms. Historia, 2024.

In the Sketch Competition, Tianuksang Lemtur of B.A 4th Semester (F) won the 1st place, and Hinikelo Tep of B.A. 6th Semester (E) won the 2nd place. The event was hosted by Paviro Zholia and Kenoseto Kiso, while A TaubaPhom, President, Department of History, delivered the welcome speech. 

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Kelengunuo Yongo, Cultural Secretary, Department of History.
