Shillong Court Visit Cum Exposer Report 2023

The department of Political Science, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama, UG, third semester students of section ‘H’ numbering 77, of which 33 girls and 44 boys under the guidance of Mr. Hingba Paul & Mr. Renthungo Humtsoe Assistant Professor, visited the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class and the Shillong High Court for practical court proceedings observational learning and motivational carrier exposer from 7^th of September to 10^th of September 2023 as its annual activity. The team was given the opportunity to witness the court proceedings slip into courts capacity of the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class on varying cases and made a visit to the State High Court on 8^th of September 2023. The team had witness on cases like the POSCO, Defaulted Accident Insurance claim, while others on rescheduling of the ongoing cases for the next hearing and had interactive session with a section chief judge of Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class. It was followed by a visit to Don Bosco Museum one of the most well maintain North Eastern records of genesis to the latest Indian  scientific and technological advancement and space exploration. On day two the 9^th of September 2023 the team tour explored in and around Cherrapunji making visits to different tourist places like Arwah Cave, Mawsmai Cave, Kynrem Falls and Seven Sisters Falls making a learning on the same.
