St Joseph College (A) awarded ‘Best College of Nagaland in NCC’

The St Joseph College (A)’s 1st Nagaland Girls' Battalion NCC, Kohima Group has won the “Best College of Nagaland in NCC”. The college was felicitated by Col Manjeet Katoch, Commanding Officer on May 14. Along with the banner flag, they received a certificate, memento, and a cash prize. 

This award was initiated in the year 2022, and this is the first time a Nagaland Battalion has received it, informed a press release received here. 

During the felicitation programme held in the college premises, Col Manjeet commended the Cadets for creating history and acknowledged Capt Regina, who was also recently facilitated as the overall NE Region best female ANO. 

Dr Fr George Keduolhou Angami, in his message, complimented the NCC Battalion for their discipline and resilience. In the vote of thanks, Capt Regina expressed gratitude to Col Manjeet and the principal for extending their support for the NCC Girls.

Mention may be made that this award was officially given by Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Director General of NCC at the Award Ceremony held at Narangi Millitary Station, Guwahati, which was hosted by DG NCC to recognize and celebrate the dedication, leadership and outstanding performance demonstrated by cadets, institutes and officers within the NCC family.
