Red Ribbon Club (RRC)
The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a voluntary youth initiative supported by the 
National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, 
blood donation, and healthy lifestyles among young people, particularly students. It 
is usually established in colleges and universities and operates under the guidance 
of institutions and health organizations.
The Red Ribbon symbolizes solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS and serves 
as a reminder of the ongoing fight against the disease. RRC empowers youth to 
become change agents in society by promoting awareness, compassion, and 
responsible behavior.

Objectives of RRC:
1. Educate students about HIV prevention, transmission, and stigma reduction.
2. Encourage regular voluntary blood donation among youth.
3. Promote safe practices, healthy living, and awareness about reproductive 
health.
4. Foster leadership and community participation in health-related issues.
Key Activities:
• Organizing seminars, workshops, and awareness rallies on HIV/AIDS and 
blood donation.
• Conducting voluntary blood donation camps in collaboration with hospitals.
• Engaging students in street plays, poster-making, and quiz competitions on 
health topics.
• Observing important days like World AIDS Day (Dec 1) and National Youth 
Day (Jan 12).
