THE FIT INDIA YOUTH CLUB WAS LAUNCHED BY THE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA,
NARENDRA MODI AT INDERA GANDHI STADIUM,
NEW DELHI ON 29TH AUGUST 2019 ON NATIONAL SPORTS DAY IN VIEW TO MAKE PHYSICAL FITNESS AWAY OF LIFE.
THE FIT INDIA YOUTH CLUB WAS ESTABLISHED IN ST.JOSEPH’S COLLEGE (A)
JAKHAMA ON 4th FEBRUARY 2020.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
- TO PROMOTE FITNESS AS EASY, FUN AND FREE.
- TO SPREAD THE AWARENESS OF FITNESS.
- TO GIVE KNOWLEDGE ON VARIOUS ESPECT OF HEALTH AND FITNESS.
- TO GIVE GUIDANCE ON HEALTH AND FITNESS ACTIVITES.
- TO HOLD PROGRAME BASE ON FITNESS AND WELLNESS.
- TO ENCOURAGE THE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN A HEALTHY LIVING

EVENTS OF THE CLUB FOR THE AY 2024-2025
19th August 2024: The student executives were elected for the academic session 2024 – 2025.
29th August 2024: A meeting was held among the executive members and staff directors in the
College Conference Hall 1.
18th – 19th October 2024: The Fit India Youth Club, in collaboration with the Electoral Literacy
Club, organized a two-day sports activity in partnership with the Office of Deputy Commissioner
and District Election, Kohima, Nagaland, and the Nagaland Sports Association.
28th – 30th October 2024: A fundraising event was held during the Annual College Week.
25th January 2025: A meeting was held among the executive members and the staff directors to
discuss the "Fittest Josephite" competition in the IQAC Conference Hall.
19th February 2025: The club organized the "Fittest Josephite" competition for the Men's
category at the college football ground. A total of 21 individuals participated in the competition.
8th March 2025: In collaboration with the Spring Fest Committee, the club organized the
"Strongest Josephites" for both Men's category and Women’s category during the college annual
"Spring Fest."
20th March 2025: In collaboration with the NSS, the club conducted a Physical Assessment
Program at the basketball court.
